Head of Title & Transactional Services

Position Overview

The Head of Title & Transactional Services is responsible for leading a multi‑state title and transactional services operation, with full ownership of P&L performance, team leadership, and service expansion. This role blends hands‑on operational oversight with strategic, executive‑level decision‑making to scale a profitable, integrated platform supporting diverse real estate transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Operational Oversight

  • Lead and scale the Transactional Services division, including title and escrow operations, transaction coordination, transactional funding, insurance products, and settlement support services.
  • Drive operational excellence across multiple markets, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and speed of closings.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing team across all service lines.

Financial & Strategic Management

  • Own full P&L accountability, including revenue growth, margin optimization, and expense management.
  • Develop business plans and financial budgets in partnership with Finance leadership.
  • Establish scalable processes, workflows, and vendor partnerships, including automation and BPO solutions.

Partnerships & Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Maintain strong relationships with title underwriters to support underwriting strategy and product expansion.
  • Work closely with Legal to ensure compliance with regulatory, underwriting, and closing requirements.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Operations to align title services with broader organizational goals.

Platform Development & Service Expansion

  • Standardize processes across markets to create a repeatable, measurable operating model.
  • Integrate ancillary services to increase revenue per transaction and enhance customer value.
  • Improve cycle times, reduce errors, and elevate customer satisfaction through continuous improvement initiatives.
