Job Description
The Head of Smartcard Personalization and Fulfilment is a leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of smartcard personalization and fulfilment operations. This position requires a deep understanding of smartcard technologies, ISO and EMV standards, and the ability to lead a team of professionals in delivering high-quality personalized smartcard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize smartcard personalization and fulfilment operations, aligning them with company goals and objectives.
  • Lead and manage a team of personalization and fulfilment professional, providing guidance, support, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of smartcard personalization equipment, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to ISO and EMV standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of smartcard personalization and fulfilment processes.
  • Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure compliance with ISO and EMV standards, conducting regular audits and inspections.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, product development, and quality assurance, to address technical challenges, implement system enhancements, and support new product launches.
  • Monitor production schedules and capacity, adjusting as needed to meet customer demands and service level agreements.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, advancements, and regulatory changes related to smartcard technologies, ISO standards, and EMV requirements, and provide strategic recommendations for business growth and competitiveness.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, monitor expenses, and optimize resource allocation to achieve financial targets.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning, encouraging the professional development of team members and promoting knowledge sharing.
  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs), regularly monitoring and reporting on operational metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Technical Competencies
  • In-depth knowledge of smartcard technologies, ISO standards (e.g., ISO 7816, ISO 14443), and EMV payment card specifications.
  • Strong understanding of smartcard personalization equipment, including Datacard personalization machines.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software applications, such as ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Educational Qualifications & Work Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field with 6+ year of experience.
  • Work experience in a senior-level role within smartcard personalization and fulfillment, preferably with a focus on payment cards and ID card systems.
