Founding Head of Sales, UK

Location: London, UK
Employment Type: Full time

Our client is building the legal intelligence infrastructure for modern organizations.

Our platform helps in-house legal teams manage contract review, negotiation, intake, approvals, workflows, obligations, and legal knowledge. Unlike general-purpose AI tools, our client is designed for high-stakes enterprise legal work, with structured workflows, document-level permissions, enterprise-grade security, and native integrations with tools such as Salesforce, Microsoft Word, Slack, Teams, and procurement platforms.

We are growing quickly and are now looking for a founding commercial leader to establish and scale our UK business.

The Role

We are hiring a Founding Head of Sales, UK to lead our client's expansion into the UK market.

This is a hands-on role. You will initially own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery through pilots, negotiation, and close. You will build our UK go-to-market strategy, establish relationships with general counsel and legal operations leaders, and create a repeatable foundation for growth.

As the region develops, you will recruit and lead the UK sales team and own regional revenue performance.

What You Will Do

  • Build and execute our client's UK go-to-market strategy

  • Develop a strong pipeline across mid-market and enterprise accounts

  • Personally own and close complex enterprise sales cycles

  • Run discovery, demonstrations, pilots, procurement, and commercial negotiations

  • Build relationships with general counsel, legal operations, procurement, IT, and executive stakeholders

  • Represent our client at industry events and within the UK legal community

  • Create repeatable processes for qualification, forecasting, pricing, and pilots

  • Provide market feedback to product, marketing, and customer success

  • Recruit and lead the UK sales team as the business scales

What We Are Looking For

  • Strong experience selling enterprise software in the UK

  • A track record of closing complex, high-value SaaS transactions

  • Experience selling to legal, procurement, operations, or other enterprise functions

  • Comfort operating as a senior individual contributor before building a team

  • Strong executive presence and the ability to sell to senior stakeholders

  • A structured approach to pipeline management, qualification, and forecasting

  • A builder mindset and the ability to operate effectively in an early-stage environment

Experience in legal technology, contract lifecycle management, enterprise AI, workflow software, or procurement technology is highly relevant.

Why Join?

You will join at a defining stage of the company’s growth and have the opportunity to build an important market from the ground up.

You will work directly with the founders, influence go-to-market strategy and product direction, and have the opportunity to build and lead our client's UK commercial organization.

We offer a competitive base salary, uncapped commission, and meaningful equity.

Our client is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to building an inclusive workplace.
