The Vice President of Sales - Americas will be responsible for building and leading the U.S. sales team, driving revenue growth, and developing strategies to penetrate the market. This is a critical leadership role for someone who can quickly assemble a results-driven team, coach and develop sales talent, and create and execute a strategy that aligns with the company’s broader growth objectives. The VP will be instrumental in achieving the U.S. revenue targets.

Focus:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to build and scale the U.S. sales team rapidly.
- Lead the U.S. sales operations, including hiring, training, and coaching Account Executives (AEs) and other sales roles.
- Participate actively in sales cycles, joining calls with AEs to help close deals and ensure a consultative selling approach.
- Collaborate closely with sales engineering and inside sales teams, based in India, to maximize lead generation and deal closure.
- Drive exponential growth by targeting smaller companies, with deal sizes ranging from $50K to $500K (average $100K-$200K), within a 3-6 month sales cycle.
- Oversee both direct and channel sales efforts, with a focus on consultative B2B selling.
- Report to the Country Head and collaborate with them on sales strategy; eventual reporting will be to the CEO.
- Implement and manage a robust sales process, utilizing an established sales playbook and best practices.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity, especially in software development and offshore solutions.
- Create an operational strategy that aligns with broader organizational goals, driving growth and customer retention.
Skill Set:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 15+ years of sales leadership experience, with a focus on custom software development, consulting, or B2B technology solutions.
- Proven track record of building and scaling sales teams in small to mid-sized companies, with successful experience in U.S. market expansion.
- Knowledge of offshore software development and working with global teams, particularly with Indian companies.
- Strong understanding of custom software solutions and various technologies, including familiarity with SAP, Oracle, or similar.
- Ability to execute strategies without being overbearing; a motivational leader who drives results while maintaining a positive team culture.
- Experience with both direct sales and channel programs is preferred.
- Familiarity with consultative selling and sales process development.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
