Head of Mortgage Investor Delivery

The Head of Investor Delivery directs the post-closing, secondary market operations, and investor reporting functions. This executive role oversees the accurate, compliant, and timely delivery of residential or commercial mortgage loans to secondary market investors like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The person in the role manages execution strategies, funding timelines, and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investor Operations:
  • Oversee accurate and timely delivery of residential or commercial loans to secondary market investors within lock expiration windows.
• Defect & Suspense Management:
  • Monitor and reduce loan-level rejections, audit findings, and purchase suspense items.
• Relationship Management:
  • Maintain clear communication with agency and private-label investors, title companies, and internal capital markets.
• Team Leadership:
  • Hire, train, and mentor post-closing, shipping, and insuring staff.
• Compliance & Reporting:
  • Track delivery metrics, enforce guidelines, and adapt operational workflows to regulatory changes.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field (MBA preferred)
• Experience:
  • 8 – 10+ years in mortgage banking operations with a strong focus on post-closing, secondary delivery, and investor reporting.
