This Role Will Be Responsible For:

Leading, designing, and executing Head Start and Early Head Start programs in alignment with Federal Performance Standards.
Managing an operating budget exceeding $12 million, including grants and expenditures.
Overseeing five direct reports and supporting the overall program team.
Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Collaborating with community partners and other educational programs to expand services and resources.
Representing the organization to stakeholders, advocating for early childhood education initiatives.

Expectations Will Include:

Providing strategic leadership to all Head Start personnel.
Ensuring the program meets all financial, operational, and compliance goals.
Developing short- and long-term objectives to enhance program impact.
Communicating budget and program updates to staff, the Board of Directors, and policy makers.
Leading the identification, writing, and management of grants.
Implementing policies and procedures aligned with organizational goals and best practices.

A Qualified Candidate Will Possess the Following:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Public Administration, Social Work, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience: Minimum 7 years of leadership experience in education, social services, or program management.
Financial Acumen: Experience managing budgets of $10M+.
Leadership Skills: Ability to empower staff, drive change, and manage large teams.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Head Start/Early Head Start regulations and early childhood education best practices.
Strategic Thinking: High-level decision-making, problem-solving, and program development expertise.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written abilities to interact with stakeholders, funders, and team members.
Technology Proficiency: High competency in MS Office and business communication tools.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel, work some evenings/weekends, and engage with diverse communities.

Compensation: $120,000
