This role will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the entire flour milling process to ensure efficiency and product consistency.
  • Optimizing milling operations, including grain conditioning, grinding, and sifting.
  • Monitoring production performance metrics such as extraction rates and yield.
  • Collaborating with the Quality Assurance team to uphold food safety standards.
  • Managing mill inventories, including enrichment, packaging, and spare parts.

Expectations will include:

  • Supervising and mentoring millers, assistant millers, and custodial staff.
  • Developing and implementing best practices for preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Ensuring compliance with OSHA, HACCP, and HARPC safety regulations.
  • Scheduling shifts and assigning tasks to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Conducting regular inspections, troubleshooting, and adjustments to maintain product quality.

A qualified candidate will possess the following:

  • 5-7 years of flour milling experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; a degree in Milling Science is preferred.
  • Strong mathematical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in environments with loud machinery and airborne particles.
  • Willingness to work with wheat products (no wheat/gluten sensitivity).
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards, HACCP, HARPC principles, and food safety regulations.

Compensation: 75,000 + DOE
