HVAC Technician

Whangārei Based $40 - $45 per hour + Company Vehicle, Phone & Laptop

Are you a qualified HVAC Technician looking for a new opportunity with a great team and excellent benefits?

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our growing business. This is a hands-on role working across a variety of commercial and residential projects, carrying out installation, maintenance, servicing, and fault-finding on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain, and repair HVAC systems
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently
• Complete preventative maintenance work
• Comply with all relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, industry standards and company policies
• Provide excellent customer service on-site
• Complete job documentation and service records are completed accurately and within required timeframes

About You

• National Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Level 4 or equivalent.
• Current EST Licence and relevant certifications
• Full NZ Driver Licence
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Knowledge of refrigeration, mechanical, electrical and electronic systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good organisational and time-management skills, with attention to detail.
• Strong comuter / digital job-management skills
• Reliable, organised, and customer-focused
• Commitment to health and safety best practices
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawing and working drawings

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work safely on active commercial and industrial sites
• Ability to access plant rooms, roofs, ceilings, confined spaces and other mechanical areas where required
• Abilit to climb ladders and work at heights where required
• Ability to lifter and handle tools, equipment and materials associated with the role
• Work in varying weather and job-sites conditions
• Physical fit to safely perform duties of the role
