HVAC Service Manager

Commercial HVAC company in Atlanta, GA has an immediate opening for a HVAC Service Manager.

Our Service Team tackles system problems promptly to keep our customers happy. A person in this role is expected to repair systems/components, handle warranty tasks, and suggest/implement system improvements while also leading other technicians by example. This job, from time to time, may require working beyond regular business hours, including evenings and weekends. Our main goals are ensuring customers are satisfied and maintaining overall job profitability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Lead Service Tech / Foreman that can lead a team or work individually to investigate and resolve customer complaints quickly and bring them to the Service Manager for review and resolution.
  • Being proactive regarding safety by ensuring that all safety measures are of the highest priority.
  • Start-up services for mechanical equipment including variable frequency drives, air handling units, fans, laboratory airflow & control systems, humidification equipment and systems.
  • Must be able to interpret technical information relating to these systems.
  • Advising customers of service to be performed and corrective actions to be taken; suggesting additional services that are beneficial to system performance.
  • Training team members to ensure continuous improvement and development of all technicians.
  • Work directly with the Service Manager to perform periodic performance reviews of field technicians on specific goals and financial objectives.
  • Plan and develop procedures to improve troubleshooting skills, equipment testing methods, start-up capabilities and overall comfort levels with the equipment at hand.
  • Show ability to analyze technical documents, electrical drawings and system design to identify issues with system performance/function.
  • Project a positive attitude in all business interactions, always looking for the best way to solve the problem at hand.
  • Work closely with the Sales Teams and Service Manager to ensure timely completion, profitable and exceptional installations for all of our customers.
  • Provide strong project management and analytical skills.
  • Hands-on activity is required. Use of standard tools for work in the HVAC industry including gauges, meters, drills, impact drivers, saws, grinders, torches, wrenches, screwdrivers, ladders, mobile equipment (Scissor Lifts, Boom lifts, etc.) and others to complete a successful project in the field.

  • Promoting through excellence in service to all of our customers. Customer Service comes second, only to safety.
