Job Description

As the HSEQ System Coordinator, you will be primarily responsible for managing the management system platform implemented across the organisation for event reporting, action planning, recording proactive workplace activities, document management and training, and business performance reporting.

You will also be responsible for assisting with the coordinating of tasks for the National Safety and Wellbeing team as required – this may include scheduling team meetings,collecting and collating safety reports, maintaining the relevant Management System applications like MSDS Online, Standards Australia and providing all-round support to the Safety and Wellbeing team.

You will assist in the delivery of SUEZ business objectives, and safety, wellbeing and environmental compliance goals by working as an active member of the Safety and Wellbeing Team and providing support to the Infrastructure and Collections Business Functions to promote best practice and consistency across all operational sites.

  • Primarily the business contact for theSoftware system for all HSEQ requirements. Tasks includes the administration of the associated modules of Event Reporting, Hazard Reporting, Audits and Inspections, Permits and Regulatory Notices. Business unit performance reporting is a key feature along with document management, training and meeting records.
  • Providing coordination support to the Safety and Wellbeing team through the implementation of the Management System and associated procedures, and projects
  • Engagement and participation in internal business improvements and implementing updated policies and procedures, regulatory industry updates and attending team meetings as required
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of Corporate safety plans, legislative updates, health surveillance requirements, emergency response plans, chemical / MSDS registers;
  • Organise and liaise with team members and other staff concerned for the completion, invoice payment, lodging and filing of annual licences and returns such as EPA, NPI, SafeWork and Fire Safety Statement, Local Councils for example
  • Coordinate and maintain records pertaining to worker safety education and training in safety platform and , communication meetings
  • Participate in the planning process and contribute towards the achievement of Key Performance Indicators in line with Corporate Requirements and Business Objectives, inclusive of scheduling safety leadership activities (workplace inspections, worker communication / toolbox meetings)
  • Prepare and coordinate delivery of internal safety and wellbeing education and training awareness sessions with team members
  • Ensure all contractors are registered in the Contractor Management System (RAPID) prior to the commencement of works – coordinate contractor prequalification and document reviews, assist with enrolment in RAPID, assist with contractor / supplier reviews with Site operations as required

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

    • Advanced computer skills and system application
    • At least 2 years proven experience in a similar role in a Safety and Wellbeing capacity
    • Collaborative and consultative passion for driving continual business improvement at all levels of management within an organisation
    • Strong English communication skills (written, verbal and receptive)

    • Proficient communication, interpersonal skills and other soft skills such as leadership, teamwork, problem solving and flexibility/adaptability;
    • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast paced environment
    • The ability to maintain confidentiality and to apply discretion and tact at all times

Qualifications and education requirements

    • Certificate IV in Safety or equivalent
