Guided Search Partners (GSP)
Guided Search Partners is an Executive Search firm built on Trust, Transparency, Specialization, and Long-term Relationships. We connect high-performing professionals with organizations that value people, performance, and growth—helping leaders find roles where they can make an impact and build meaningful careers.

About the Opportunity
We’re partnering with a growing frozen foods manufacturer whose products are enjoyed every day across the United States and Canada. With a broad portfolio that includes single and multi-serve meals, snacks, and side dishes, this is a business built around quality, innovation, and well-known food brands. This opening comes from a leadership transition, creating an opportunity for someone to step into an important payroll role with visibility and ownership from day one. Based in the Columbus office, this position supports multi-jurisdictional payroll across the U.S. and Canada and works closely with HR leadership. It is a strong fit for someone who likes structure, accuracy, and being the person others can count on. Just as important, this team values collaboration. The HR group works closely together, communicates consistently, and takes a shared approach to solving problems.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and process multi-jurisdictional payroll across the United States, including Ohio and Minnesota, as well as Canada.
  • Ensure payroll is accurate, timely, and compliant with federal, state, provincial, and local requirements.
  • Manage payroll with a high level of confidentiality while supporting employees and leadership with questions and day-to-day needs.
  • Work within Dayforce and support payroll processes across multiple countries.
  • Partner with HR leadership to keep payroll running smoothly and help build structure as the team grows.
  • Over time, step into leadership of a small team, with 3 direct reports expected as the function continues to develop.

Who You Are
You are detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable owning a process that has to be right. You know payroll is about more than numbers. It is about trust, consistency, and supporting people well. You work with care, communicate clearly, and stay organized in a role with moving parts and compliance responsibilities. You also enjoy being part of a collaborative team where people share ideas, stay aligned, and help each other solve problems.

Preferred Experience & Attributes
  • 5+ years of payroll experience.
  • Experience managing payroll across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Exposure to payroll in both the U.S. and Canada is preferred.
  • Dayforce experience is preferred.
  • Multi-country payroll software experience is preferred.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information.
  • A steady, team-oriented professional who can work independently and partner well with leadership.

Why This Role Matters
This role supports employees across locations and helps ensure one of the company’s most important people processes runs accurately and smoothly. It is a high-trust position with direct visibility to senior HR leadership and a clear connection to the employee experience. It is also a chance to join a highly engaged HR team that values partnership, communication, and shared problem-solving. For someone who enjoys payroll leadership and wants to be part of a growing food manufacturer with a collaborative culture, this is a strong opportunity.
