Job Description
We are looking for a permanent part-time (24 Hours P/Wk) Payroll and HR Coordinator position.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure compliance with employment law and labour legislation
- Responsible for the Canadian hourly and salary payroll
- Payment of legislative and company benefits
- Year-end filing requirements, T4, T2200, WSIB, EHT, etc.
- Monthly journal entries, and reconciliation of payroll accounts
- Pension and benefits administration
- Recruitment and selection
- Employee communication and conflict resolution
- Manage new hires & terminations
- Performance management
- Responsible policies and procedures
- PO and procurement and all other duties as assigned
- Knowledge of Payroll Legislation and Employment Standards Act, Labour Law
- Minimum 3-5 years payroll experience with Ceridian Power Pay payroll software
- University Degree or college Diploma in Human resources
- PCP or PCM Certificate or currently enrolled
- CHRP/CHRL Certificate or currently enrolled
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, OneNote and SharePoint
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in confidential environment is a must
- Experience with payroll accounting functions
- Must be organized and able to meet multiple deadlines
- Utilize a proactive problem solving approach
