Job Description

We are looking for a permanent part-time (24 Hours P/Wk) Payroll and HR Coordinator position.

Hours: TBD

Compensation: $23.00- $28.00

  • Ensure compliance with employment law and labour legislation
  • Responsible for the Canadian hourly and salary payroll
  • Payment of legislative and company benefits
  • Year-end filing requirements, T4, T2200, WSIB, EHT, etc.
  • Monthly journal entries, and reconciliation of payroll accounts
  • Pension and benefits administration
  • Recruitment and selection
  • Employee communication and conflict resolution
  • Manage new hires & terminations
  • Performance management
  • Responsible policies and procedures
  • PO and procurement and all other duties as assigned
  • Knowledge of Payroll Legislation and Employment Standards Act, Labour Law
  • Minimum 3-5 years payroll experience with Ceridian Power Pay payroll software
  • University Degree or college Diploma in Human resources
  • PCP or PCM Certificate or currently enrolled
  • CHRP/CHRL Certificate or currently enrolled
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, OneNote and SharePoint
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in confidential environment is a must
  • Experience with payroll accounting functions
  • Must be organized and able to meet multiple deadlines
  • Utilize a proactive problem solving approach
