HR Manager - AGC Automotive Americas

The Leadership Expectations of the position are the ability to communicate a Vision, Deliver Results, Develop People, Foster Teamwork, Lead Change and Demonstrate Integrity.

This position is the HR Manager for all Ohio sites, i.e. Bellefontaine, Belletech & Grove City and administers Human Resources policies and procedures for all 3 sites. HR Business Partner for Bellefontaine Plant Manager, Belletech Plant Manager and General Manager ARG (Grove City). Assists leadership in recruiting, leadership development, culture change, organizational development and succession planning. Creates a vision for the Ohio HR function & leads HR synergies and consistency between all sites.

Key Responsibilities & Actions

· Creates & communicates a vision and strategy with achievable short-mid-long term actions for HR in Ohio.

· Builds synergies & consistency of HR processes, policies and procedures across 3 Ohio sites

· Works as a Business Partner with Plant Managers and plant management teams in all 3 OH sites, challenging them & coaching for success of each plant & leadership team.

· Builds sustainable HR policies & procedures across all 3 OH sites covering engagement, turnover & absentee management and overall culture change to support continuous improvement mindset

· Analyzes and closely monitors local market to propose changes to compensation structures or other HR related to drive competitiveness. Networks & builds external relationships to benchmark.

· Assures compliance with federal, state and local employment related laws

· Leads the Shop Floor training group in Bellefontaine and applies best practices & innovative training techniques across all 3 OH sites.

· Leads all Workforce Development Activities and Succession Planning activities for all 3 OH sites

· Ensures safe workplace and promotes safe practices for all associates

Other duties as may be assigned.


Educational requirements, Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business. Master’s degree preferred in Organizational Development.

PHR or SPHR certification a plus.


10+ years progressive experience in HR in a manufacturing organization

Organizational development experience

Automotive industry experience a plus


· Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal employment regulations

· Facilitation and presentation skills, strong written and oral skills, and excellent interpersonal skills

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

· Moderate to advanced computer skills (MS Excel & PowerPoint especially) including use of HRIS data base, timekeeping system

· Self motivated; can lead, influence & implement change

· Ability to work successfully in a cross functional team environment
