HR Generalist

The HR Generalist supports the Senior HR Advisor(s), President/Owner, and Premier HR Team with both human resource projects and recruiting responsibilities. This position provides exceptional HR consulting services to client companies that consist of small and medium-sized businesses. The HR Generalist is a customer-centric-minded HR pro who is responsible for policy development, compliance, recruiting, and strategic HR practices. We are seeking team members with a passion for helping clients with their HR and recruiting processes.

The Human Resource Generalist works directly with the Premier HR Team and our clients to assist them in a wide variety of HR-related responsibilities:

HR Administration

  • Provide HR with day-to-day tactical delivery of services. (both remotely and onsite)
  • Develop employee handbooks and write policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Administer employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, 401(k), FSA, HSA, EAP, COBRA, LTD, STD, and Life.
  • Administer and handle payroll processing for clients including assisting with their HRIS.
  • Provide onboarding and new hire orientation.
  • Provide offboarding activities and assist with employee terminations.
  • Develop and administer performance management.
  • Work with our Premier HR team on special HR projects.
  • Assist employers with unemployment claim issues and workers comp incidents.
  • Conduct HR audits (FLSA, i9, Independent Contractors)
  • Provide HR on Demand to management who need advice related to employee relations under the supervision of the Senior HR Advisor.
  • Set up clients on our Premier HR Platform and onboard new clients.
  • Manage our client satisfaction and compliance surveys.
  • Update HR project lists in our Premier HR Platform.
  • Report your time daily in our time-tracking system.
  • Proofread proposals and documents.
  • Other projects and administrative tasks as requested.

Recruiting

  • Review resumes, screen candidates and upload candidate information in our applicant tracking system.
  • Conduct candidate searches using our software platform and source job candidates.
  • Contact passive job candidates to market the position and gauge their interest.
  • Correspond with hiring managers and job candidates.
  • Assist with managing the recruiting timeline for each position.
  • Working with candidates on job assessments and uploading results.
  • Conduct reference and background checks.
  • Prepare recruiting reports.
  • Other Recruiting Administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience in a generalist role performing the responsibilities listed above.
  • PHR or SPHR certification is highly desired.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Superior communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Strong employment law/compliance background. (FMLA, HIPAA, ADA, EEO, etc.)
  • Experience working with multiple managers or clients.
  • A high level of proficiency with all Microsoft Office products.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to multitask with multiple clients.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective and efficient with an eye for quality work.
