- Provide support to management in the implementation of change initiatives
- Plan, implement and evaluate HR initiatives that support the business units in achieving its strategic objectives
- Proactively identify technical problems that arise that may affect delivery and propose resolutions to address these
- Absenteeism management
- Assist in improving operating structures and process improvement and development of new processes to optimise workflows and make operations more efficient
- Support leadership and business with strategic staffing, including manpower planning, talent inventory, and succession planning
- Assist with high potential identification and development planning
- Assist with the development and management of an Accelerated Development programme
- Conduct Psychometric assessments and Assessment Centres as part of recruitment, development and team dynamic interventions
- Design Assessment Centre batteries as part of recruitment and development
- Ensure up to date role profiles
- Assist with linking roles to job grades and to salary bands
- Ensure all recruitment practices realise the talent profile requirements of the business
- Drive the embedding of the employee experience across the employee lifecycle including onboarding, development, retention, engagement, off-boarding and alumni management
- Execute the performance review cycle on an annual basis
- Manage poor performance process and probationary reviews
- Define work group and individual performance needs and develop value-added programmes and interventions
- Improve hiring manager's talent management capabilities and help them get the most out of their talent pool. The includes continuous conversations about internal talent optimisation
- Drive implementation of effective retention strategies for business succession pipeline and long-term career development plans for talented staff.
- Assist in developing culture and engagement initiatives: Support the implementation of client’s culture through researching, designing, developing and implementing of innovative solutions and best practices
- Employee engagement measurement and action planning: assist with the development of strategies to address and improve on issues identified by these surveys
- Ensure all business hires experience business-specific onboarding programmes
- Develop onboarding programmes per business function
- Advise business on misconduct, incapacity and operational requirement issues in accordance with legislation and firm policy & procedures
- Promote a self-driven development culture in the business
- Assist in the development of a learning and development culture
- Implement Learning and Leadership Development strategies to facilitate holistic future-fit talent development for the business
- Facilitate talent mobility within the business
- Assist in developing and managing the Leadership Development programmes using the most appropriate methods and ensure a sufficient pool of potential future managers
- Assist to develop and deploy an outcome-focused, sustainable training and development strategy and implement through professional administration, design, development and delivery to ensure effective talent development on all levels
- Develop all aspects of curriculum development including course outlines, exercises, role-plays, case studies and comprehensive training modules to educate, enhance performance and recognise performance linking to annual training and development plans
- Honours or Master’s degree in Industrial Psychology or equivalent
- Registered Industrial Psychologist or Psychometrist
- 2 years relevant experience in business partnering including
- Design, development and implementation of training and development programmes
- HR consulting i.e. recruitment, performance development and management and labour relations
- Demonstrated experience partnering with clients on solving business/operational issues through the application of progressive people system practices
- Experience working in a medium to large organisation/consulting experience
