SUMMARY OF DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Career Solutions, this role will support bank’s long-term vision for career management and mobility through the design, development and delivery of career planning tools and resources. This role requires subject matter expertise in talent and career management, as well as experience with learning architecture, design and delivery. Key enablers of success include advisory and thought leadership in talent management, ability to synthesize organizational needs into meaningful solutions, and strategic thinking with a continuous improvement mindset.

The role includes the following key accountabilities:
• Lead design methodology for all career planning tools and resources
• Stay current on leading Talent trends and deliver practical and insightful thought leadership and learning advisory in the areas of career management and mobility
• Support stakeholder needs assessment with the objective of diagnosing root cause learning needs and influencing on best solution
• Develop various career content and resources for enterprise and business specific needs using a variety of instructional techniques and formats, including online learning content, instructor led training and virtual solutions
• Review the effectiveness of career planning tools and resources, consider industry trends and recommend/make enhancements as required.
• Network with industry contacts to gain competitive insights and best practices in the areas of career management and mobility
• Develop and maintain a roster of external vendors with expertise in career management and development to be leveraged as required
• Demonstrate exceptional organization and project management skills to support the design, development and delivery of career content and resources

Job Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years relevant HR experience; knowledge and experience within bank is an asset
• Proven experience providing thought leadership on talent and career management; ability to scan market and provide best-practice research and insights on a broad range of topics
• Formal experience in training design including knowledge of instructional design methodology, needs analysis, design, validation, development, implementation, and evaluation
• Strong consulting skills anchored in diagnosing root cause learning needs
• Proven planning and project management skills with affinity towards working in a continually evolving and often ambiguous environment requiring ingenuity, innovation, flexibility, and an entrepreneurial attitude
• Excellent strategic-thinking skills with an ability to identify, recommend, and collaborate with team members on process improvements and best practices
• Excellent oral and written communication, presentation and facilitation skills to effectively deliver learning at all levels of the organization
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, PowerPoint
• University degree in human resources, industrial psychology or related discipline; Post Graduate education an asset
