Our client is a full-service large format printing and production house. They are a one-stop shop for custom trade show exhibits, interior and exterior graphic projects, museum exhibitions, banner stands and backwalls, retail store displays and more.
We are looking for a Project Manager for their Elk Grove Village, IL headquarters.

The successful candidate will be a multitasker and possess the ability to meet deadlines.
This person will need to be aware of different large format printing processes (UV, Latex, Dye Sub) and be experienced and knowledgeable with different print substrates and finishes to ensure that print jobs are executed with precision and meet the exact standards set by our customers. Attention to detail, adherence to instructions, and commitment to quality will be essential in this role.
Responsibilities
- Provide digital proofs, and make the graphics print-ready using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Prepare estimates.
- Create new or convert existing estimates to orders and submit to production.
- Digital File Set Up and Production for proofing.
- Contact customers with production issues that could affect quality or completions date.
- Monitor job progress throughout production to ensure projects are on schedule.
- Confirm packaging requirements depending on shipping needs and delivery type (i.e. freight, FED EX, Courier, Rep delivery or customer pick up).
- Create PO’s and place orders with vendors specific to a project as needed.
- Compare and coordinate updates for current vendor pricing vs. QW.
- Customer Booth Inventory Management.
- Maintain Customer Inventory Tracking.
- Create and track customer quarterly storage jobs/invoices updating accordingly with applicable charges.
- Customer Tradeshow / Event Management.
- Manage Customer Event Calendar.
- Review Exhibitor Service Manuals for customer events.
- Create timelines for Order confirmation, Graphic submission, Production, Fabrication, Show service orders and labor, and Shipping.
- Consult customer on timelines, deadline and assist with show service orders.
- Coordinate vendor partner services, logistics and orders.
- Write PO’s and manage correspondence between vendor partner and customer Show labor and Freight services.
Qualifications
- Experience with large format printers, laminators, plotters and graphic finishing a plus but NOT required
- Experience with Microsoft Office Applications
- Mac and PC experience preferred.
- Knowledge in color management and application of printing concepts.
- Expertise in using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc).
- Ability to provide customers with efficient and effective service to exceed expectations while promoting products and services to meet customer’s needs.
- Production experience with digital printing equipment a plus but not required (can be taught)
- Attention to detail for proofing.
