This role will be responsible for:

  • Maximizing trading opportunities within an assigned territory to drive superior profits.
  • Developing a deep understanding of market factors and commodity pricing movements.
  • Collaborating with traders and management to communicate critical market information.
  • Ensuring cost-effective and efficient transportation of commodities.
  • Maintaining the company’s reputation by fostering strong customer and supplier relationships.
  • Supervising support staff to ensure seamless execution of contracts.

Expectations will include:

  • Adhering to company policies, procedures, and trading rules without exception.
  • Successfully operating within defined position limits while accurately reporting trading results.
  • Championing a strong safety culture across the organization.
  • Continuously analyzing market trends to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.

A qualified candidate will possess the following:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Ag Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–4+ years of experience in commodity trading.
  • A proven ability to navigate commodity, futures, and cash markets.
  • Strong understanding of grain flows, freight markets, and market opportunities.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a positive, motivational attitude.
  • A demonstrated ability to build and manage professional relationships with customers and teams.

Compensation: $100,000 range

Benefits: Full benefits + relocation
