Job Overview:

Ellsworth Healthcare Staffing (EHS) is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team as a Government Contracts Research and Proposal Intern. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate interested in gaining hands-on experience in government contracting, research, and proposal writing. The intern will assist in identifying government contract opportunities at the federal, state, and local levels and will help develop proposals that align with EHS's services and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and Identification:

    • Research Prime Contractors to establish relationships and future subcontracting opportunities.
    • Assist in researching and identifying government contract opportunities at federal, state, and local levels.
    • Monitor government websites, databases, and other resources for new RFPs, RFIs, and contract opportunities.
  • Proposal Development:

    • Help analyze the requirements of identified contracts and contribute to the development of proposals.
    • Collaborate with the team to gather information and ensure proposals are aligned with company capabilities.
    • Assist in writing, editing, and formatting proposals under the guidance of experienced team members.
  • Submission and Follow-up:

    • Support the proposal submission process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
    • Help track the status of submitted proposals and follow up with government agencies as needed.
    • Assist in maintaining records of proposals, including submission dates and outcomes.
  • Learning and Development:

    • Gain an understanding of government procurement processes and regulations.
    • Attend relevant training sessions and seminars to enhance knowledge of the government contracting industry.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve the proposal development process.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor’s program in Business, Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Strong research, writing, and editing skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is preferred.
  • Interest in government contracting and procurement is a plus.
