Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced attorney with 5-7 years of expertise in government contracting and procurement law. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of federal acquisition regulations (FAR), government bid processes, and compliance issues. Litigation or dispute resolution experience related to government contracts is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on all aspects of government contracting, including bid preparation, compliance, and performance issues.
- Navigate clients through Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other regulatory frameworks.
- Draft and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, teaming agreements, and joint venture agreements.
- Represent clients in bid protests, claims, and disputes before federal and state agencies, boards, and courts.
- Provide counsel on compliance with small business programs, including SBA programs and set-asides.
- Conduct training for clients on government contracting best practices and regulatory updates.
- Assist with audits, investigations, and enforcement actions related to government contracts.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the state bar
- 5-7 years of experience in government contracting and procurement law.
- Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and related statutes and regulations.
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex cases and projects independently.
- Strong client relationship skills and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience representing clients in bid protests before the GAO or other forums.
- Background in federal, state, or local government procurement processes.
- Litigation or administrative law experience related to government contracts.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity requirements for government contractors (e.g., CMMC compliance).
