Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Board of Directors for a testing, inspection, certification (TIC) company with hundreds of associates domestically and internationally. The Company helps the food supply chain improve their food safety and quality management practices. They have an international team of food safety and baking professionals and regulatory experts who work with companies around the world, applying in-depth knowledge and technical expertise. Their international employees include experts in the fields of food safety, food defense, integrated pest management, good manufacturing practices, food labelling, and baking production. The organization serves clients in North America, Latin America, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), China, and Asia Pacific. The company’s services lines include training, inspections, consulting, certification audits and regulatory assistance.

The Global President and CEO has the overall responsibility for creating, planning, implementing, and integrating the strategic direction of company and the development of the organization's leadership. The role is responsible for the design and execution of the long-range plan and annual operating objectives. Direct reports include: Global CFO, Global VP Sales and Marketing, VP Operations America, VP Operations EAA, Global VP of Human Resources, VP Certification Services. The individual is a visionary leader, who understands and upholds the company’s values while leading continued growth and financial success. Provides the mandate and leadership for the Executive Team to work in partnership across their operational groups, to lead and implement continuous improvements for the business with an eye on the competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customer and market growth, new services, and industry trends and developments,

The role is accountable to the Board of Trustees. The CEO works with the Chairman and Committee Chairs to set and align the strategic direction for the company, mitigate overall enterprise and fiscal risks, board membership and development, and other governance related issues.

Background Required:
  • President, Divisional President and/or CEO in the food industry and/or Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) sector (10 years)
  • Developed and reinforced the company’s culture and overall company vision, mission, and direction
  • Worked with a Board of Directors and Board Committees
  • Led/managed global transformational change
  • Developed and executed strategic (LTP) & annual business plans
  • Overseen the company’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, P & L’s and auditing
  • Developed, planned and implemented successful growth strategies for business and margin approach to portfolios
  • Translated trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to business opportunities by innovative thinking
  • Built and led high-performance executive leadership teams
  • Created an environment that promoted great performance and positive morale
  • Acted as the leading Brand Ambassador & External Spokesperson
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Residence in/near Major North American Metro market (Relocation not required)
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Led or actively involved with M&A initiatives
  • Technical degree and / or Advanced Degree like an MBA or similar business degree
  • Management roles and responsibilities in a B2B services (vs B2C) company
  • Knowledgeable of corporate governance, finance and performance management principles
  • International experience either living overseas and/or business responsibilities outside of the US
