What You’ll Do:

  • Global Logistics Support: Act as the go-to expert for navigating complex international shipping regulations, documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • End-to-End Shipment Management: Oversee and track shipments from origin to destination, proactively addressing delays or disruptions.
  • Cost Optimization: Negotiate competitive freight rates and manage quotations to ensure cost-effective logistics solutions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date on international trade laws, export/import requirements, and compliance standards for various regions, particularly Europe.
  • Relationship Management: Build strong partnerships with agents, affiliates, and global freight forwarding partners to ensure smooth shipment execution.
  • Multimodal Transportation Expertise: Evaluate and propose the most efficient transport methods, including air, ocean, road, rail, and triangle shipments.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including procurement and order management, to understand and meet customer transportation needs.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) and implement best practices for shipment management.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in international logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of customs regulations, multimodal transportation, and international trade compliance.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to secure competitive freight rates and manage supplier relationships.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex logistics issues and provide innovative solutions.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable working with proprietary logistics software, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Geographical Expertise: Experience managing shipments involving European countries is highly valued.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work across multiple time zones and manage occasional early/late meetings.
