About Our Client:

Our client, a mid size and fast growing technology firm is seeking a Global Controller with with a strong background in public accounting and some additional experience in industry. This opportunity is one that will offer the successful candidate a chance to join a Canadian headquartered organization going through a time of exciting growth and public offering. This role will be fully remote and based in Ontario and will manage reports locally and globally.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the financial accounting, month end processes
• Financial Reporting; consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual as well as statutory reporting for foreign entities
• Management reporting, audit, and internal controls/process improvements
• Assist with FP&A, providing detailed analysis and month end commentary on variances
• Working with FP&A, detailed month-end analysis and commentary with explanations for variances as well as overall support of the FP&A function
• Development of improved management reports, KPI's
• Assist with treasury functions and cash management
• Ongoing review of internal controls
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance or Accounting
• CPA/CA designated
• 7+ years (combined) of public and industry accounting experience
• Experience working in a global company preferred
• Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting
• Strong working knowledge of internal controls
• A self-starter who is able to work independently in a fast-paced and growth oriented environment
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and adheres to a high standard of work quality
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
