Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the SVP Head of Global Key Accounts for one of the world's leading providers of integrated logistics services. Our client offers air, ocean and road freight forwarding, warehousing, distribution, and specialized services in project logistics, fairs and events, and chemicals.
The Global Account Director is responsible to drive revenue growth by strategic, customer focused, selling of all products and services in a global team environment. Coordinates complete sales cycle process including prospect list initiation, lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, RFQs, pricing, proposal preparation and presentation(s), contract signing, start-up and customer service follow-up after the sale. Continually collaborates with the organization’s leadership and operations team to increase revenues, optimize costs, and maximize profits. Stays abreast of emerging technology changes and innovations through formal or informal study of business publications, attendance of industry events, and networking. Challenge is to identify business opportunities and generate profitable sales in both new and existing accounts to meet and exceed new business revenue goals.

Background Required:
- International freight forwarding sales (8+ years)
- Strategic or key account management
- Knowledge of market verticals: high-tech, FMCG
- Developed strategies and executed business plan
- Developed complex end to end supply chain solutions
- Proven track record of sales success
- Knowledge of RFQ / RFP process for global clients
- Multi-modal (air, ocean, import, export, TL, LTL, rail)
- Travel up to 40%
- Computer literate: Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Residence: greater Chicago, IL
- Freight forwarding operations
- Customs brokerage sales
- Contract logistics
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Hunter mentality
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Executive level presentation C level, VP & Directors)
- Excellent relationship building skills
