Location: Philadelphia, PA - Center City
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Up to 3 days/week remote; Mondays in-office)
Compensation: $93,000 – $125,000 base salary + performance-based bonus
About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading civil engineering firm, is experiencing significant growth and seeks a Geotechnical Project Engineer to join their Philadelphia team. This role offers the chance to work on high-impact private sector projects, including data centers, higher education facilities, K–12 schools, industrial warehouses, and commercial developments. The firm boasts a robust project backlog and a dynamic team of 17 geotechnical professionals within a 96-person Philadelphia office.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct geotechnical analyses and design for a variety of private sector projects.

Prepare technical reports, specifications, and construction plans.

Design foundations, retaining walls, and other geotechnical aspects of construction.

Supervise field investigations and earthwork/foundation construction activities.

Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering (required); Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Experience: 6+ years in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on private sector projects.

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with software such as gINT, Slide/SLOPE/W, PLAXIS, LPILE, GRLWEAP, MSEW, and SHAKE.
