We are actively seeking a dedicated and strategic Georgia Regional Water & Wastewater Practice Leader to spearhead our client development operations in the Georgia region. This role is primarily focused on building and nurturing productive relationships with a variety of clients including federal, state, municipal, county, and water district/river authorities. You will be instrumental in marketing our company’s services, leading sales strategies, and enhancing our presence in the water management industry. This full-time position balances a dynamic mix of 75% external client interactions and sales, with 25% internal strategy and coordination, offering a stimulating environment for professional growth and leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with clients as the primary point of contact.
- Engage in direct communication with clients through multiple channels including on-site meetings, digital correspondences, and social platforms.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to anticipate trends and uncover new business development opportunities.
- Implement and refine business development strategies in alignment with company goals.
- Actively participate and lead in client presentations and business development activities like lunch and learns, training sessions, and other engagements.
- Coordinate and monitor financial metrics related to project bookings and sales achievements.
- Represent the company in professional industry events and contribute to community leadership.
- Formulate and execute strategies to maximize market potential through effective team collaboration and client engagement.
- Supervise and mentor Business Development staff, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- At least 12+ years of experience in sales or business development, preferably within the municipal or civil engineering sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Urban Planning, Engineering, or related fields.
- Proven track record of working with and understanding the needs of municipal and local government entities.
- Strong expertise in procurement processes, proposal writing, and strategic client positioning for upcoming business opportunities.
- Exceptional communication skills capable of leading complex negotiations and solving intricate client issues.
- Well-versed in various project delivery methods such as Design-Build and Construction Manager at Risk.
- Solid business acumen with a proactive approach towards fostering client relationships.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CRM systems, ideally Cosential, for tracking client interactions and managing opportunities.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct and inspire a team towards achieving business development goals.
- Excellent research and market analysis skills to guide strategic planning and decision-making.
