You will wear many hats including:

  • Genomics product expert
  • Performing education of potential enterprise customers on the TileDB solution by means of tailored and consultative product demonstrations
  • End user target audiences you will be engaging with include: Head of Computational Bioinformatics, Head of Genomics, Principal Scientist, Head of DNA Sequencing
  • You will be taking sample data from genomics prospects and creating meaningful demos to show the full capabilities of our tech
  • Leading customer-facing proof of concepts engagements both remote (and at times on site), delivering on the technical components in agreed trials and statements of work, and presenting success
  • Providing critical feedback to Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Engineering on customer interaction
  • Subject matter expert on genomics algorithms and technologies

Location

Expectations

In your first 30 days, you will familiarize yourself with our existing integrations into genomics libraries. You will learn how to use our tech in various applications, and learn the code base. Our engineering and sales team will help with your onboarding, and prepare you to make your very first demo within your first weeks of work. You will report to the Head of Sales.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with R or Python
  • Familiar with common data formats for genomics data (e.g., VCF/BCF, FASTQ, SAM/BAM/CRAM, GTF/GFF/GFF3, BED)
  • Experience with the analysis analysis of high-throughput sequencing data (e.g., quality control, mapping, variant calling)
  • Experience with at least one of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Effective written and verbal communicator with experience in consulting with customers and product engineering
  • Bonus: Experience with toolkits and/or formats related to single-cell biology
