General Superintendent — Heavy Civil / Highway — Morgantown, WV

Our client, a leading West Virginia–based heavy civil and highway contractor building roads, bridges, and water/wastewater treatment infrastructure across West Virginia and the surrounding states, is hiring a General Superintendent to lead field operations in the Morgantown area.

What You'll Do

Direct field operations across multiple concurrent heavy civil projects — superintendents, foremen, crews, and equipment
Own field execution: production, schedule, quality, and safety on highway, bridge, and sitework packages
Plan crew and equipment allocation across the region; solve field problems before they cost days
Coordinate with project managers, owners, and inspectors to keep work moving

What They're Looking For

A proven heavy civil field leader — superintendent or general superintendent experience on highway, bridge, or major earthwork projects
Ability to run multiple crews and projects at once, on accelerated schedules
Strong command of grading, structures, paving, and utility sequencing; DOT project experience preferred
A safety-first operator who develops foremen and builds crews

Compensation

$120,000 – $165,000 base salary depending on experience
Senior field-leadership seat with a respected regional contractor and a deep public-infrastructure backlog
