Lead the Growth of a Successful Heavy Civil Operation

Our client, a well-established and growing heavy civil contractor, is seeking an experienced General Superintendent to provide leadership across multiple heavy civil construction projects throughout the Las Vegas market.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a proven field leader who excels at managing multiple Superintendents, developing high-performing teams, and delivering complex heavy civil projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

If you have extensive experience in earthwork, excavation, grading, underground utilities, water, wastewater, sewer, wet and dry utilities, and gas utility construction, this could be an outstanding next step in your career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership for heavy civil field operations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop multiple Superintendents and field personnel.
  • Oversee multiple heavy civil projects simultaneously.
  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, subcontractors, and material resources.
  • Partner closely with Project Managers to ensure successful project execution.
  • Maintain schedules while maximizing productivity and profitability.
  • Champion a strong safety-first culture across all operations.
  • Forecast labor, equipment, and resource needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, engineers, municipalities, inspectors, subcontractors, and internal leadership.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office, Microsoft Dynamics, HCSS, and HeavyJob to support field operations and reporting.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 10+ years of progressive heavy civil construction experience.
  • Previous experience as a:
    • General Superintendent
    • Senior Superintendent
    • Area Superintendent
    • Superintendent managing multiple projects
  • Extensive experience with:
    • Earthwork
    • Excavation
    • Grading
    • Underground Utilities
    • Water & Wastewater
    • Sewer
    • Wet Utilities
    • Dry Utilities
    • Gas Utility Construction
  • Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction means and methods.
  • Proven success leading multiple Superintendents and field teams.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, scheduling, and resource management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using HCSS and HeavyJob is highly preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $120,000–$140,000 DOE
  • Annual Performance Bonus: Up to 20%+ based on company profitability
