Job Description:

• Develop and implement the company’s strategic vision, aligning courier, cross dock, and warehouse operations with business goals.
• Identify market trends and opportunities to enhance service capabilities, such as same-day delivery or advanced warehousing solutions.
• Oversee end-to-end operations, including courier delivery networks, cross dock sorting/transfer processes, and warehouse storage/inventory management.
• Optimize warehouse utilization, maintaining high standards for inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and space management.
• Implement KPIs to monitor performance
• Manage P&L for warehouse and cross-docking operations, ensuring profitability through cost control, labor optimization, and revenue growth.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, such as route optimization or automation in warehousing and distribution.
• Lead a team of 50+ employees, including operations managers, dispatchers, drivers, and warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Recruit, train, and mentor department heads and staff, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Oversee maintenance, repair, and upgrades of facilities, including warehouses, cross-dock terminals, and related equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
• Drive process improvements, leveraging data analytics for route planning, inventory tracking, and customer satisfaction.
• Spearhead digital transformation initiatives, such as automation for cross dock sorting and warehouse operations.
• Work with Corporate Safety and Compliance Director to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT (Department of Transportation) rules for drivers and OSHA standards for warehouse/cross dock safety.
• Oversee environmental compliance, including sustainable practices in fleet and facility operations.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Proven track record managing courier/delivery operations, cross-dock facilities, and/or large-scale warehousing (e.g., 100,000+ sq. ft. facilities).
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements (DOT, OSHA, FMCSA) and safety best practices.
• Strong knowledge of pick and pack distribution
• Strong P&L experience
