Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the President for one of the largest and most experienced crane businesses in North America.
The General Manager oversees several branch locations within the company, and are responsible for the staffing, profit, performance and other operations at each branch they manage. Responsible for instructing branch management and supervisors at every location and reporting your regional branches' performance to upper administration; Oversee the operations of multiple branches; Guide, train and manage lower-level management and supervisors; Prepare performance reports for presentation to upper administration; Organize and implement training programs for staff in the entire region; Ensure that all branches follow safety, health, business laws and regulations; Uphold company standards of excellence and service, guaranteeing quality performance; Maximize company profits at the branches you supervise; Ensure the creation and implementation of a strategy designed to grow the business; Coordinate the development of performance goals for functions and direct reports; Ensure the development of tactical programs to pursue targeted goals and objectives; Ensure the overall delivery and quality of the Branch’s offerings to customers; Engage in key or targeted customer activities; Oversee hiring and talent development programs; Collaborate with Fleet and decide upon investments in equipment, infrastructure, and talent; Report results as a participant of the ELT (Executive Leadership Team); Engage with the VP of Operations and President in broader organizational strategic planning; Participate in monthly financial overview; Believe in Company Culture: Lead and Live by Company Values.

Background Required:
  • Branch / Office Management within the Crane & Rigging / Machinery Moving Industry (3 years)
  • P&L Management
  • Ability to motivate others on a team and assist in succeeding
  • Multitasking skills and the ability to tend to multiple problems at a time
  • Plan and manage at both strategic and operational levels
  • Interpersonal skills with all levels of customers and partners
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Ability to successfully unite the sales and operations teams
  • Computer literate – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point
