We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and hands-on General Manager (GM) to oversee our business operations in Trinidad. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional, with over 10 years of experience managing multifaceted business operations, including full P&L responsibility.
The GM will be tasked with transforming the business from one driven by instinct to one guided by data-driven evaluation. This role requires comprehensive oversight across all business functions—Sales, Management, Regulatory/Product Registration, Supply Chain, and Finance—with a heavy emphasis on correcting inventory management issues and aggressively driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & P&L Management
- Assume complete accountability for the Trinidad market's Profit and Loss (P&L) statement.
- Conduct a rigorous, function-by-function review of current operations to determine what activities the company should continue, halt, or optimize.
- Develop and execute comprehensive growth plans to expand the business beyond its current $3.5 million USD sales benchmark.
- Shift the corporate culture toward metrics-driven evaluations, evaluating profitability by business unit, product lines, and rep-specific common accounts.
Inventory & Portfolio Management
- Address and rectify historical inventory management inefficiencies across highly complex, high-SKU product lines.
- Rationalize existing product lines to maximize profitability and eliminate slow-moving or underperforming stock.
Business Development & Government Relations
- Maintain and aggressively expand crucial government relationships, ensuring a steady stream of revenue from public sector sales, which remains a cornerstone of the business.
- Oversee the regulatory compliance and product registration pipeline to continually introduce new products to the market, unlocking increased sales potential with government entities.
- Collaborate strategically with the regional opportunities manager to align supplier-driven opportunities with actual Trinidadian market demands.
Team Leadership & Corporate Structure
- Directly manage and mentor an organization with a lean team.
- Realign compensation structures to transition away from individual sales-commission models toward total company profitability goals and objective-based bonuses.
Role Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
Experience:
- Approximately 10 years of professional experience, with a proven track record as a General Manager, Zonal Manager, or in a role with direct P&L ownership over multiple business functions.
Competencies:
- Demonstrated mastery of supply chain logistics and complex inventory systems.
- Strong B2B and government tender/relationship management experience.
- Ability to think strategically while executing operationally.
