Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President of non-asset-based transportation provider that built a strong reputation in the market through its service intensity and agility, deep network footprint, established market expertise, and highly efficient technology and processes.
The General Manager is responsible for the development and management of all sales and operations, including market competitiveness, pricing, and channel growth strategies for the branch. Will assume complete P&L responsibility with high growth expectations that would align with the site and overall organizational strategy. Will create profitable growth revenue with current accounts, while soliciting new sources of revenue and profit. Also responsible for development and growth of an inside sales, account management, and carrier sales teams. Will establish and manage carrier relations and development activities that support the execution of strategies and action plans to enable the profitable growth of the business unit. Will work in coordination with other company resources, develop the strategic and tactical direction for the business unit, and establish management processes. Challenge is to build a world-class team, develop high-level service offerings, motivate, and lead a staff, while increasing revenues and improving profitability.

- Freight Brokerage Sales and Operations (6+ years)
- Mode of Transportation (i.e. Truckload, LTL, Intermodal, Specialized)
- Strong Selling Skills
- Strong Negotiation Ability (Carrier, Customer, Margin Integrity)
- Develop and execute business plan strategies
- Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
- Residence: Detroit, MI
- Sales Management (Hire, Train, Coach, Mentor) (2+ years)
