Job Description

Our client, a growing people consulting firm, is seeking a seasoned General Manager to oversee operations, drive business growth, and ensure the seamless delivery of client-focused services.

The ideal candidate would have strong corporate experience, and good strategic decision-making. A solid background in Consulting or corporate services is essential for this role and ultimately supporting the firm’s core people-focused mandate.

Key Responsibilities


Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Oversee day-to-day business operations and ensure effective workflow across all service lines.

  • Lead the development and execution of business strategies that drive growth, client satisfaction, and operational excellence.

  • Establish performance standards and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality consulting services.

Client Engagement & Business Development

  • Manage key client relationships, lead negotiations, and support proposal development.

  • Oversee costing, budgeting, and pricing strategies to ensure profitability and competitive positioning.

  • Identify new business opportunities and work with the leadership team to expand the firm’s client portfolio.

Human Resource & People Management

  • Provide leadership across HR initiatives, including talent development, organizational design, performance management, and staff engagement.

  • Ensure HR best practices that strengthen the firm’s internal culture and enhance service delivery.

  • Mentor and guide team leads and consultants to build capacity and align efforts with business objectives.

Financial Management

  • Monitor budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation to ensure cost-effective operations.

  • Support financial planning, forecasting, and reporting in alignment with strategic priorities.

  • Review and approve expenditure requests in line with company policies.

Governance & Process Improvement

  • Implement and refine operational processes, tools, and systems to improve efficiency and service quality.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Lead internal reviews and implement improvements to enhance productivity and workflow.

Qualifications & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).

  • 7+ years of experience in corporate management with atleast 4 years in a senior leadership role.

  • Strong understanding of HR practices, organizational development, and people management.

  • Proven ability to manage teams, oversee multiple projects, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication, business writing, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong commercial acumen and decision-making abilities.
