General Manager
Our client, a growing people consulting firm, is seeking a seasoned General Manager to oversee operations, drive business growth, and ensure the seamless delivery of client-focused services.
The ideal candidate would have strong corporate experience, and good strategic decision-making. A solid background in Consulting or corporate services is essential for this role and ultimately supporting the firm’s core people-focused mandate.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership

Oversee day-to-day business operations and ensure effective workflow across all service lines.

Lead the development and execution of business strategies that drive growth, client satisfaction, and operational excellence.

Establish performance standards and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality consulting services.
Client Engagement & Business Development
-
Manage key client relationships, lead negotiations, and support proposal development.

Oversee costing, budgeting, and pricing strategies to ensure profitability and competitive positioning.

Identify new business opportunities and work with the leadership team to expand the firm’s client portfolio.
Human Resource & People Management

Provide leadership across HR initiatives, including talent development, organizational design, performance management, and staff engagement.

Ensure HR best practices that strengthen the firm’s internal culture and enhance service delivery.

Mentor and guide team leads and consultants to build capacity and align efforts with business objectives.
Financial Management

Monitor budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation to ensure cost-effective operations.

Support financial planning, forecasting, and reporting in alignment with strategic priorities.

Review and approve expenditure requests in line with company policies.
Governance & Process Improvement

Implement and refine operational processes, tools, and systems to improve efficiency and service quality.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Lead internal reviews and implement improvements to enhance productivity and workflow.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).

7+ years of experience in corporate management with atleast 4 years in a senior leadership role.

Strong understanding of HR practices, organizational development, and people management.

Proven ability to manage teams, oversee multiple projects, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication, business writing, and stakeholder management skills.

Strong commercial acumen and decision-making abilities.
