Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the President of an asset-light, final mile, logistics and transportation provider. Organization is dedicated to high customer service through communication, execution, and integrity.
The General Manager is responsible for the growth, development, and management of all sales and operations, including market competitiveness, pricing, and channel growth strategies for the freight brokerage division. Will create profitable growth revenue with current accounts, while soliciting new sources of revenue and profit. Also responsible for development and growth of an inside sales team. Manage all aspects of the sales functions including inside sales, customer service, and carrier sales. Will establish and manage carrier relations and development activities that support the execution of strategies and action plans to enable the profitable growth of the business unit. Will work in coordination with other company resources, develop the strategic and tactical direction for the business unit, and establish management processes. Challenge is to build a world-class team, develop high-level service offerings, motivate and lead a staff, while increasing revenues and improving profitability.

- Progressive responsibility scaling a freight brokerage operation through rapid growth (8+ years)
- Sales Management (Train, Coach, Mentor) (4+ years)
- Modes of Transportation (Expedite, TL, LTL, Intermodal)
- Ability to close and manage large account business
- Ability to drive organic growth of existing accounts
- Driving technology and process improvement
- Strong Negotiation Ability (Carrier, Customer, Margin Integrity)
- Develop and execute business plan strategies
- Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
