General Manager

Industry: Tier-1 Automotive Location: Rayong, Thailand Function: General Management

Are you a globally experienced leader with a deep understanding of Thailand’s automotive industry? A world-leading manufacturing group is seeking a General Manager to lead strategy, people, and performance at a key site supporting major automotive OEM clients.

This is a high-impact, fully empowered leadership role, ideal for someone with international manufacturing experience who has successfully managed operations, sales, teams, and customer relationships in Thailand.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead and grow a 35+ person cross-functional team (Sales, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, HR)
• Own Thailand P&L, plant operations, and commercial performance
• Partner directly with Japanese and local OEMs across the region
• Drive plant expansion and strategic growth initiatives
• Represent Thailand in global forums, influencing product and investment decisions
• Strengthen talent, culture, and leadership development locally

We’re Looking for Someone Who Has:

• GM or senior leadership experience in a Tier-1 or OEM automotive manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience managing teams and operations in Thailand
• Deep knowledge of working with local and Japanese OEMs (Toyota, Nissan, Honda, etc.)
• Proven ability to lead and develop Thai teams in a culturally aware, performance-driven way
• Strong commercial background in sales, business development, or general management
• Fluent English required (Thai language a plus)
• Already based in Thailand

Ideal Candidate Background:

Expat or internationally minded leader with a global outlook, who has previously led manufacturing operations in Thailand and is fluent in managing diverse cross-cultural teams and global customer relationships.
