Job Description
Our client, a youth football and development organization is seeking a General Manager (GM) to lead its operations and growth. The ideal candidate will report to the Executive Director, and shall drive strategy, manage daily operations, and expand the organization’s impact across Ghana.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic planning and oversee operations across all of the organizations branches.
  • Grow membership and ensure high-quality training experiences for all members
  • Manage coaches, logistics, project managers, and support staff; set and track clear performance targets.
  • Build partnerships with schools, sponsors, and community stakeholders.
  • Oversee budgets, reporting, and compliance with safeguarding standards.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the academy, ensuring smooth running of all programs and administrative functions.
  • Work with the board to implement the club's vision and develop strategic plans for player and staff growth.
  • Develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and oversee financial planning.
  • Oversee the technical and tactical development of players and lead talent identification and recruitment processes.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage all academy staff, including coaches and administrative personnel, to achieve objectives.
  • Ensure the academy is compliant with all relevant laws, regulations, and club policies, including health & safety and governance standards.
  • Act as a spokesperson for the academy, fostering strong relationships with members, sponsors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure all academy facilities, including pitches and grounds, are maintained to a high standard.
Qualifications & Competencies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years’ experience in leadership, sports development, or youth programs.
  • Strong team management, partnership-building, and financial oversight skills.
  • Passion for youth empowerment, football development, and gender inclusion
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for football and a deep understanding of player development.
