Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager of a family-owned and growing linen rental and service provider. Providing service to restaurants, hotels, inns, country clubs, spas, health care clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, beauty shops, and other retail and industrial establishments through the rental of various linen products and a first-class standard commercial laundry service. With over 20 service centers that create a network-like coverage over 11 states, the organization can stay more connected to their clients on an individual level while ultimately still delivering a high value that meets or exceeds the standard industry trend of larger yet more centralized facilities that serve customers in a wide expansive area.

The General Manager serves as the local business unit manager responsible for overseeing the team of up to 60 associates through day-to-day activities of the operation in multiple functions (production, maintenance, quality, routing, customer service, and office administration), developing client relationships, and proper management of company assets, all while maintaining financial goals.

Background Required:
  • Business operating manager experience (General Manager or equivalent) (3+ years)
  • Transportation, distribution, production, manufacturing experience (5+ years)
  • Proven success in maintaining quality, service, and client relationships in a fast-paced setting
  • Manages departmental production, personnel, and quality statistics
  • Monitors established policies and practices to ensure employee compliance
  • P&L responsibility
  • Regulatory compliance where required
  • Facilitates and maintains departmental training records
  • Monitors overall team performance ensuring customer requirements
  • Utilizes continuous improvement principles (Lean, Six Sigma)
  • MS Office Suite
  • Education: High School diploma
  • Residence: Wheeling, WV area
