Position Summary
We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced General Manager to lead the operations of a well-established boatyard and marina operation. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of marina management, including facilities, docks, equipment, leases, rentals, financial performance, and team leadership.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong operational, financial, and people-management skills who is committed to delivering exceptional customer service while driving profitability and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day operations of the marina and boatyard

Build, supervise, train, and develop a high-performing team
-
Ensure exceptional service standards for members, guests, and partners
-
Oversee maintenance of docks, lifts, buildings, equipment, and grounds
-
Manage vendor, tenant, contractor, and local authority relationships
-
Drive financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, and expense control
-
Identify and develop new revenue opportunities and profit centers
-
Coordinate with marketing resources to support slip and service sales
-
Manage member relations, escalations, and satisfaction metrics
-
Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and labor regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOL)
-
Support capital projects and facility improvements
-
Partner with HR on hiring, onboarding, training, and retention initiatives
-
Support corporate integration and onboarding of new marina acquisitions as needed
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree preferred
-
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role
-
Strong operational and financial management experience
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
-
Experience with budgeting, payroll, AP/AR, inventory, and leasing preferred
-
Marina or marine industry experience highly preferred (CMM certification a plus)
-
Fully bilingual: English & Spanish
-
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
