General Labour

Job Type: Full Time, Contract

Compensation: Up to $26/hour

About the Company:

Our client is a real estate development company based in downtown Toronto. They assist clients with residential construction projects. They are currently seeking to add a General Labour to their dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and prepare job sites
• Utilize hand and power tools for construction tasks
• Assist with installing drywall and tiling
• Assist with minor patch work
• Perform various carpentry tasks
• Assist with commercial painting tasks
• Changing outlets and switches
• Install household appliances including dishwashers, washers and dryers
• Assist with minor plumbing tasks including unplugging kitchen sinks
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Must possess valid WHMIS and Working at Heights certificates
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle
• Prior experience in operating a scissor lift is considered to be beneficial
• Must possess prior experience working in a construction environment
• Able to work independently with little supervision
• Must be physically fit and able to lift objects up to 80lbs
