GLOBAL HEALTH & WELLBEING MANAGER
BARCELONA
Global Pharmaceutical Company is looking for a Global Health & Wellbeing Manager responsible for defining and leading the global Health and Wellbeing strategy across all regions and functions of the company. The role ensures a consistent, evidence‑based and preventive approach to health and wellbeing, while enabling local implementation in line with regulatory requirements, cultural context, and business needs.
This position ensures that all employees and contractors work in an environment that protects and promotes both physical and mental health. The role is accountable for shaping global policies, standards, and programs that safeguard our people, strengthen EHS performance, and support company's long‑term commitments to health and wellbeing.
Responsabilities:
- Design, own, and continuously evolve the global Health & Wellbeing strategy aligned with business priorities, EHS commitments, and company culture.
- Define a scalable global framework covering physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing across all regions.
- Establish global standards, policies, and guidelines, ensuring governance, consistency, regulatory compliance, and appropriate local adaptation.
- Act as a strategic partner and advisor to People & Organization, Medical, EHS, Compliance, Legal, and other key stakeholders on Health & Wellbeing topics.
- Develop and implement policies and programs that promote a safe, healthy working environment, with a strong focus on employee wellbeing, prevention, and compliance.
- Lead global initiatives related to mental health, psychological safety, stress management, resilience, occupational health, and healthy lifestyle promotion.
- Oversee and manage global vendors and strategic partners, including EAPs, occupational health providers, insurers, and digital wellbeing platforms.
- Define, monitor, and report on global wellbeing KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Analyze global and regional data to identify risks, trends, opportunities, and best practices, adjusting interventions as needed.
- Support regional and local EHS teams by providing tools, training, guidance, and subject‑matter expertise on wellbeing.
- Advise senior leaders on wellbeing‑related risks, organizational health, and workforce sustainability.
- Contribute to EHS and Sustainability strategies from a global health and wellbeing perspective.
- Act as a global subject‑matter expert and internal ambassador for Health & Wellbeing.
- Promote awareness and use of available wellbeing resources supporting mental health, energy, and resilience.
- Champion a culture where Health & Wellbeing is embedded into daily operations and leadership practices.
- Engage with employee representatives and works councils, as required, on Health & Wellbeing‑related matters.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Public Health, Health Sciences, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in health and wellbeing, occupational health, or related roles, with global or international scope; experience in comparable industrial or regulated environments is preferred.
- Solid knowledge of global occupational health standards and regional regulatory frameworks.
- Proven experience designing and managing global programs and influencing stakeholders across multiple geographies and cultures.
- High level of cultural awareness and ability to work effectively across regions and time zones.
- Experience implementing global wellbeing platforms or digital health solutions.
- Professional certifications in mental health, wellbeing, occupational health, or organizational health.
- Experience working in pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, or similarly regulated industries.
- Good communication skills and fluent in written and spoken English & Spanish
- Other European language skills are a plus
- Change Management & Continuous Improvement skills
