French Speaking PA Job Description

Marcilly Recruitment is seeking a fantastic French speaking PA to support an UHNW chairman within the property industry. You will be working directly with the chairman to support mainly on the private side in a very fast-paced and varied role. He now resides in Monaco, and they feel it would be best to hire a new assistant on the ground who can focus on their day to day lifestyle management. Therefore, the successful candidate must be eligible to work in Monaco as either a European resident within 50K of the border or a Monegasque resident.

The successful French speaking PA must use their linguistic skills to coordinate his time both in Monaco and internationally so they must be completely fluent in both English and French to a business level standard.

We are seeking a bright, driven, down to earth and proactive candidate who isn’t afraid to use their initiative. The successful French speaking PA will need to have an awareness of Monaco, and ideally a good network to ensure the seamless day to day running of the UHNW principals' life. The successful candidate must have worked as a PA / EA for a minimum of four years at CEO/founder level. Alternatively, someone coming from a luxury concierge business could also work if they have plenty of exposure to UHNWs and a good black book of contacts.

The couple is looking at purchasing a yacht next year, which they will also look to charter. The French speaking PA will be tasked with managing this and hiring the relevant staff.

This role will be based between their home in Monaco and remotely, depending on the task at hand. There may also be potential to travel to London as the UHNW Chairman is in the UK usually once a month for business interests. The team within the business is great and his first PA from 20 years ago is still within the company but in a different role, so there is someone on hand who knows his preferences well. This is a newly created role though as he recently moved to Monaco, and they have decided it would be better to have a PA on the ground who can better support him and his wife.

There will also be family liaison in the UK.

French Speaking PA Benefits:

Salary: Euros 60K - 85K DOE

Benefits: discretionary bonus; 26 days holiday;

Hours: 08:00 – 17:00 - there may be flexibility on the daily structure as long as it is a 40-hour week

Location: Monaco

Start date: ASAP but happy to wait a two month notice period as finding the right candidate is important

French Speaking PA Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with diary management of the Chairman for both private and business
  • Liaise in French in Monaco to book restaurants and oversee his private affairs
  • Correspondence on behalf of the Chairman and acting as a gatekeeper
  • Assisting with the management of business documents, including minutes and board packs
  • Huge scope of event management. This is from private client dinners to huge corporate events. Both business and private event management to a very high level as they are very active socially
  • Assisting with planning and booking travel and accommodation for the Chairman, both personal and business (this can include yachts, air travel by commercial and private, and helicopters)
  • Assisting with lifestyle projects: such as property renovations and the purchase of a new yacht
  • Personal shopping
  • Managing health and wellness, personal appointments etc for the couple
  • Ad hoc duties as required: purchasing/collecting items, errand running and lifestyle management
  • Working closely with the Chairman’s family and ensuring the smooth running of their personal lives, travel, school etc.
  • Financial record keeping and liaising with the principal's accountant.
  • Keeping track of travel schedules and tightly monitoring time spent in the UK to not exceed allowance.
  • Liaising with household staff here in the UK and abroad to ensure the smooth running of the households and the Chairman’s schedule.
  • Recruitment of household staff, managing rotas, schedules, HR etc.
  • Property management, including managing household budgets, purchasing etc.

This role will be very fast paced and will require a French speaking PA with a high level of organisation and a can-do attitude.

This is a great role for a French speaking PA who loves high-end event management as they have very active social lives – both business and private.

Personality fit is key for this role as it is important the Chairman gets on well with his PA. He has always had longstanding relationships, but he also needs someone who is capable of working well under pressure with strong levels of attention to detail.
