Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Branch Manager of a domestic freight transportation and logistics company with over 22 years of combined years’ experience that specializes in high volume non asset transportation of bulk aggregate materials and flatbed services.
The Freight Broker is responsible for the complete sales process including prospecting, lead generation, pricing, and closing the business. Will prepare rate proposals to prospective and new clients for various transportation services while utilizing knowledge of market trends to provide strategic solutions. The freight broker will generate a book of business by making phone calls and developing high-level relationships with key decision makers. Challenge is to increase revenues and maximize profitability.

Background Required:
  • Freight brokerage sales, business development and Account Management (2+ years)
  • Service offering (i.e. Flatbed, Heavy haul)
  • Strong Negotiation Ability (Customer, Margin Integrity)
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Residence: Mt. Pleasant, PA

  • Freight Management Software
  • Transportation Network understanding
  • Education: College Graduate
