Florida Water Treatment Engineering Specialist

Wright-Pierce is looking for a municipal water treatment engineer to serve as the go-to technical resource for a wide range of water treatment plant projects in Florida. We are looking for an engineer that has previously worked on water treatment plant projects and who has a broad background and understanding of multiple design aspects of water treatment. Candidates with any amount of municipal drinking water project experience are encouraged to apply if they have the desire to focus on water projects.

To be successful in this role, the engineer will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and be heavily involved in directing the technical work. This may include assisting with calculations; providing input on modeling; technical writing including generating proposals; research; pilot and test studies; providing QA/QC; mentoring, advising and delegating tasks to junior engineers and designers who do the plans production.

Project types vary depending on the site, client, and local constraints and have included all aspects of water treatment and various approaches, such as iron/manganese, PFAS, filtration, disinfection byproducts, reverse osmosis, ozone treatment, and water softening. Projects often incorporate cutting-edge techniques and technologies with insight gleaned from a deep bench of engineering talent and experience companywide.

Requirements:
• BS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related engineering disciplines
• 8+ years of experience
• Licensed Professional Engineer
• Prior project experience working on water treatment plant projects such as reverse osmosis (RO), ozone, and/or water softening
• Experience working on Florida municipal projects
• Proficiency with MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlet, Teams, and Bluebeam
