Tampa/Orlando, Florida (Individual can work from Tampa or Orlando office, a hybrid, or a remote schedule anywhere within 2 hours of either of these offices)
A growing engineering consulting firm is hiring for a roadway design lead for Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for a go-getter to serve as the lead roadway design engineer and is a great steppingstone to be fast-tracked into a more senior leadership role in the future. The company has extensive backlog including contracts with FDOT and local municipalities. The engineer will have the opportunity to work directly with clients. The majority of the projects will be located in Florida, and minimal travel is required for this position.
The transportation group is a well-established, growing group that boasts a multi-year backlog with high-profile, cutting-edge local projects. The firm works on a wide range of transportation and municipal projects and has a number of long-term contracts with FDOT District, 1, 5, and 7 in addition to a number of the municipalities in the area. Requirements:
• BS in Civil Engineering or related field
• 8+ years of experience
• Licensed Professional Engineer
• Roadway design experience
• Prior public sector project experience is required with either DOTs or local municipalities.
