Wright-Pierce is looking for a licensed engineer with a background working on civil municipal projects to serve as the leader of the Florida civil group. This position is opening due to a planned retirement within the company and offers a great opportunity for upward mobility and job security for an engineer looking to reach the next step in their career. This person will serve as the group leader for the civil engineering team in Florida and will be responsible for shepherding the strategic growth plan for civil engineering in the state, serving as the face of the division.
Wright-Pierce civil infrastructure group engineers are an integral and critical part of the communities they serve. The firm provides professional guidance and design on critical infrastructure, including municipal roadway design, stormwater management/conveyance facilities, vulnerability studies, flood plain mapping, and sewer collection systems. The firm carries projects for their clients from start to finish, from helping write the grants that secure funding all the way through project construction.
The civil engineering team works on an interesting and evolving variety of city, county, and district level civil engineering projects from start to finish. In this role, the group leader will manage the Florida civil team, mentor junior engineers, work closely with clients to maintain relationships, assist the firm with business development and growth efforts, perform QA/QC on projects, and provide high-level technical involvement/oversight of projects.
Candidate should have experience working with municipal clients in Florida and supervising other engineers. The manager can have a background in any area of civil engineering from general civil engineering, to stormwater, water resources or transportation and should possess the desire to work on a wide range of civil municipal projects.

Requirements:
• BS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related engineering disciplines
• 15+ years of experience
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Florida
• Individual needs to have a civil design background that can range anywhere from general civil municipal projects, to stormwater, water resources, or transportation
• Experience working on municipal projects in Florida is required
• Experience managing other engineers either as a project manager or with direct reports.
