Job Description
Our client is a prominent private company that owns a number of established outlets in the Western Cape. They are expanding and have a need for enthusiastic people to support this growth, which includes a Floor Supervisor position based in Eerste River, Gugulethu, Mandela Park and Khayelitsha.
Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Floor Supervisor is to effectively plan, control and monitor the performance of the floor department including groceries, perishable, frozen and back up areas and ensure they operate at an optimal level.

Salary - Market related
Working hours - Monday to Sunday, Rotational shifts

Job Purpose:

Responsibilities:
- Meet customer needs with a smiling face and remember that the customer always comes first. Always make our customers know that they are important
- Handle all customer questions and concerns
- Use customer suggestions and complaints to guarantee that the needs of the customers are being met
- Ensure staff adheres to required customer service
- Meet sales target – develop and implement strategies to meet sales targets.
- Meet gross profit targets – develop and implement strategies to meet GP targets
- Maintain expenses within budget
- Contain shrinkage within the budget – develop and implement shrinkage controls
- Wastage – consistently monitor wastage and develop and implement methods to reduce wastage
- Performance per product category. Optimize sales m/² for each department by setting targets per product category
- Evaluate rate of sale / product category and implement recommendations for improvement
- Identify ideal stock levels per product category
- Determine range per product category
- Evaluate ordering record per product category in relation to rate of sale
- Evaluate delivery schedules and implement recommendation for improvement om a monthly basis
- Conduct spot checks of the products received daily
- Assist with category stock counts cyclical schedule and investigate variances
- Ensure best methods for stock rotations and ensure compliance
- Evaluate stock levels according to rate of sale
- Honest and trustworthy

- Grade 12
- 2 years managerial experience
