Fleet Maintenance Manager

The Fleet Maintenance Manager will contribute to the development of a high-performance culture in the Shipyard through the development and implementation of innovative processes, production metrics, work practices and delivery of improvement projects.

Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum of Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in managing complex maintenance environments with detailed knowledge of the planning processes
  • Substantial experience in maintenance management, marine regulatory knowledge and safety requirements
  • Detailed understanding of ISO 55001 and/or AEO or similar
  • Experience in maritime environment would be looked at favourably
  • Qualifications and Experience within Project Management is desirable

  • High level of interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills equal with a dynamic business in a politically and industrially sensitive environment
  • Excellent understanding of budgets and planning
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and a track record of delivering commercially viable solutions
  • In depth knowledge of relevant legislation and applicable engineering standards
  • Demonstrated experience in a business environment that requires the use of analytical and problem-solving techniques
  • High level of initiative and integrity with demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement in advising senior managers and others on sensitive issues
  • Ability to undertake investigative research to obtain, clarify and validate information that may require explanation and interpretation
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Ability to deal with political and public sector issues and constraints of a sensitive nature
