Job Description
Location: Primarily Remote (Occasional meetings in Ottawa, ON)
Compensation: Expected hourly rate of $35.00 - $45.00 per hour, based on qualifications, experience, and final contract pricing.
Scope of Work / Tasks
Join a high-profile client supporting the modernization of enterprise financial management and cost attribution. The successful consultant will work with senior stakeholders to enhance financial models, improve reporting capabilities, and develop sustainable, automated costing solutions that support long-term strategic decision-making.
- Review and assess existing enterprise cost attribution and financial models.
- Analyze financial data and identify opportunities to improve cost transparency.
- Design, develop, and enhance enterprise financial and costing models.
- Collect, validate, and analyze financial and operational data from multiple stakeholders.
- Develop forecasting assumptions and scenario ("what-if") analysis capabilities.
- Build automated reporting solutions using Microsoft financial analytics tools.
- Produce presentations, technical documentation, operating procedures, and user guides.
- Deliver stakeholder workshops, knowledge transfer sessions, and training materials.
- Provide financial advisory services, costing expertise, and analytical recommendations.
- Support ongoing enhancements, issue resolution, and future improvements to financial management processes.
Mandatory Qualifications
M1
The proposed resource must possess a post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
M2
The proposed resource must hold a current and valid Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation (CPA, CPA-CA, CPA-CMA, or CPA-CGA).
M3
The proposed resource must demonstrate a minimum of ten (10) years of experience providing financial analysis, costing, or management accounting services within large or complex organizations.
M4
The proposed resource must demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years of experience developing, enhancing, or applying costing, cost attribution, or financial allocation models using financial or volumetric data.
M5
The proposed resource must demonstrate a minimum of one (1) year of experience working with enterprise financial data environments, including SAP-based financial systems, to support financial analysis or costing initiatives.
