This role partners closely with cross‑functional teams to provide financial insights, support strategic decision‑making, and strengthen overall financial discipline. Although an individual contributor, this position is highly visible and plays a critical role in shaping reporting quality, process improvement, and analytical rigor.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Consolidation
- Lead and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results.
- Prepare complete financial statements, including consolidation of North American legal entities and elimination of intercompany transactions.
- Ensure all reporting complies with internal policies, external requirements, and corporate deadlines.
- Develop and maintain reporting packages, including quarterly business review presentations.
Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
- Define and manage the planning calendar, templates, and milestones for budgeting and forecasting cycles.
- Analyze and interpret variances between actuals, budget, forecast, and prior year, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Build financial models to support business cases, scenario planning, and lease‑versus‑buy decisions.
Operational Support
- Partner with Operations, Sales, and Product Management to provide financial insights that support decision‑making and performance improvement.
Strategic Initiatives & Process Improvement
- Manage the corporate cost‑reduction initiative program, including reporting, tracking, and collaboration with leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting accuracy, and system efficiency.
- Support benchmarking, ad‑hoc analysis, and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 5+ years of financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis experience.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel proficiency; experience with larger ERP and consolidation systems required.
